Ticketmaster announced a number of leadership appointments for its North America business this week. Marla Ostroff was promoted to Managing Director of Ticketmaster, North America, with Trevor Allin (EVP, Business and Commercial Operations) and Maura Gibson (EVP, Client Solutions and Strategy) also promoted to new roles. The moves come on the heels of other corporate appointments in the wake of the departure of longtime President Jared Smith.
“The formation of this leadership team adds great momentum to Ticketmaster North America as well as our global strategy, and the fact that the team is made up of celebrated Ticketmaster veterans speaks to the incredible talent we have within our ranks,” says Mark Yovich, President of Ticketmaster. “I have every faith that Marla, Trevor, and Maura will drive the North American business forward to even further success and are more than ready to lead and innovate a live entertainment comeback.”
According to a press release from Ticketmaster announcing the appointments, Ostroff has been with Ticketmaster for more than 30 years. Allin will remain Managing Director, Canada within the context of his new role, while Gibson has spent 23 years in the ticketing industry, split between Ticketmaster, Live Nation, and Front Gate Tickets.
“Clients are the foundation of our business and our goal is to ensure their highest level of satisfaction across our full array of services,” said Ostroff. “To do so, we will act as the communication and project management hub across our many teams, aligning our energies to maximize delivery for our clients and their customers. I look forward to embarking on this new challenge at such a pivotal time for us, alongside some remarkable colleagues.”
Changes began at the Live Nation Entertainment-owned ticketing giant over the summer, as the company shifted to deal with the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent loss of revenue. In August, Jared Smith was promoted from Global President to Global Chairman, with Yovich elevated from President, International to Global President. Amy Howe was shifted in that same announcement from President, North America to Global Chief Operating Officer. Smith’s departure was announced in October, with these new promotions backfilling the roles left by those who were moved up the ladder to take over his responsibilities.
The company also recently announced leadership changes in its Australia-New Zealand region, with Gavin Taylor taking over as Managing Director for Ticketmaster Australia and Maria O’Connor moving to Chairman of Australia and New Zealand.
